The digital camera for advanced-amateurs and professionals alike, the Canon 20D sets new standards in its class and is a significant upgrade to the amazing Canon EOS 10D. Featuring an all-new 8.2 MP Sensor, a 2nd generation DIGIC II Image Processor, 5+ fps performance for up to 23 consecutive frames and a 0.2 second start-up time, the Canon 20D is designed to capture richly detailed, perfectly exposed images with speed formerly found only in cameras several times the price.
Additional features include a precision 9-point autofocus system, a built-in multi-controller for quick focusing point selection and a refined magnesium alloy body, for rugged, go everywhere photography. The Canon EOS 20D is compatible with Canon's new EF-S Lenses and the entire Canon EOS System of lenses and flashes.
Canon 20D users can take full advantage of Canon's lineup of EF and EF-S Series lenses. Even wide-angle EF-S lenses provide excellent performance when teamed with the Canon 20D's APS-C-size sensor. Canon's EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens is especially recommended for the EOS 20D.
